Mountain Bike Fleet & Bike Rental
We have a fleet of high-quality mountain bikes for trail biking and/or touring, with trained bike guides & mechanics. We want you to feel completely free when you ride - with us looking after your luggage, your refreshments and any other needs that arise as you ride. That's why most of our bike tours are accompanied by support vehicles.
We can offer bike trips as extension offers or travel modules during your trip. If we have the logistics in place, these short tours can be arranged for lower costs without support vehicle e.g. in Simien Mountain National Park, Lalibela, Gheralta Region ar anywhere in the South.
We also offer bike rental service in Addis Ababa. If you need a bike around town or the hills, just contact us.
OUR MOUNTAIN BIKE FLEET
With plenty of gears, hydraulic disk breaks, front suspension, 29 inch race tires and a light weight aluminium hardtail, these bikes are extremely versatile and suitable for gravel roads and trails. Fully equipped with a RockShox fork with Remote Lockout technology it allows multiple travel settings to adjust to riding conditions.
We offer you different bike sizes from S to XL fitting your size. Knowing your height, we are happy to recommend the most suitable bike for you.

SUPPORT ON THE ROAD
In addition to the bike and water supply en route, we also provide plenty of fruit and snacks to ensure each rider has the fuel they need to keep going. Additionally, we also provide an air-conditioned support vehicle (upon request), first-aid supplies and spare bike parts. Helmets are included in our rental.
OUR GUIDES
Our guides live and breathe bike adventures! All of them do trail and tour biking in their leisure time as well, and are trained annually in group management, emergency response and bicycle mechanics. Our guides are also first-aid certified.
SimienEcoTours works with fixed-employed bike guides to guarantee you a high bike travel quality and service. Our most skilled bike guides with years of experience of guiding bike trips are Elyas Tarekegn (English & German), Yirga Mekuriaw (English), Marco Degasper (English, German, & Italian) and Samuel Belete (English).
